Become a Voice on the River Yealm Harbour Authority – Represent Your Community!

Brixton Parish Council is looking for someone to represent them on the River Yealm Harbour Authority — and you don’t need to be a councillor or even live in the parish to apply!

If you're passionate about local issues and ready to make a difference, this is your chance.

The role involves attending around 10 meetings a year, held every third Tuesday at 6pm at the Harbour Office (with breaks in August and December). Can’t always make it in person? Zoom attendance is often possible. You’ll be involved in important discussions, especially during the winter months, and may also join occasional sub-committees focused on budgets and staffing.

No specific qualifications are needed — just a willingness to contribute and ideally some experience or interest in areas such as finance, law, health & safety, the environment, small business, or marine matters.
